PillPal is designed as a local-first application. Your medication records, dose history, reminder schedules, and adherence data are stored exclusively on your device. PillPal has no user account, no sign-in, and no server that stores your personal information.
PillPal transmits data off your device in only two limited circumstances:

All permissions are optional except notifications, which are required for reminders to function. You can revoke any permission at any time in iOS Settings.

You can permanently delete all PillPal data at any time via Settings → Delete Data → Delete All My Data. This removes medication records, dose history, snooze history, cached label checks, URL cache, and all pending local reminders from your device. This action cannot be undone.
You may also clear older history selectively via Settings → Clear History.
Data Retention: All data is retained on your device indefinitely until you choose to delete it via Settings. No data is stored on any external server by Adigopula Solutions.

PillPal is intended for users aged 18 and older. Users under 13 are not permitted to use this app. PillPal does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) applies to covered entities — healthcare providers, health plans, and healthcare clearinghouses — and their business associates who handle Protected Health Information (PHI) on their behalf. Adigopula Solutions is not a covered entity, and PillPal is not a business associate of any covered entity.
Medication data you enter into PillPal is stored exclusively on your device as personal wellness notes. It is not transmitted to, processed by, or stored on any server operated by Adigopula Solutions or any covered entity. HIPAA protections and obligations therefore do not apply to PillPal.

PillPal is a personal wellness reminder application. It is NOT a medical device.
PillPal has not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a medical device under 21 U.S.C. § 321(h) or 21 CFR Part 880. The developer intends PillPal to qualify as a general wellness application under FDA's enforcement discretion policy. It is not designed, marketed, or intended to meet the definition of Software as a Medical Device (SaMD).
PillPal is a general wellness application intended to help users track their own medication schedules. Under FDA's Policy for Device Software Functions and Mobile Medical Applications (2022) and the 21st Century Cures Act, general wellness apps that track self-reported health information fall outside FDA's device enforcement jurisdiction.

PillPal grants you a limited, personal, non-commercial, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use this application on Apple-branded devices you own or control, subject to these Terms of Use.
This license is granted in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms of Service and the Apple App Store Review Guidelines. You may not sublicense, sell, resell, transfer, assign, or otherwise commercially exploit this application.
This agreement is concluded between you and Adigopula Solutions only, and not with Apple. Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for PillPal.
The developer disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
Apple Inc. makes no warranty with respect to PillPal. Any claims relating to this application must be directed to the developer, not Apple.

PillPal is distributed exclusively on the United States App Store and is intended for use within the United States only. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Adigopula Solutions operates, without regard to conflict of laws provisions. Any dispute shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting the developer directly, then through binding arbitration or a court of competent jurisdiction in the developer's state of operation.
Apple Inc. and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
These Terms may be updated with new versions of PillPal. The effective date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision.
